Mold found in East Stroudsburg High School

A contractor was installing new lockers for the students in anĀ East Stroudsburg High School when the contractor found mold on the walls.

A cleaning crew was immediately called in to remove the mold and check the air quality inside the building. They also closed that part of the school until the problem is fixed.

With 2000 lockers it is going to take some time to pull them all down and inspect them to see if there is any more mold.

The culprit?

District officials believe moisture in the wall from a former cleaning process may have led to the mold problem.

Remember that it takes only 24 hours for mold to grow on drywall. You must control moisture in your school, office or home.

Mold is a real big problem in our schools today.

It is going to be an even bigger problem to remove the mold if this isn’t addressed now.
