Mold gives kids at 2 NC elementary schools a longer summer break
What do you get when you combine a hot southern summer with no electrical power to run the AC system for a few days?
Mold.
It is a four letter word when it comes to our kids and their health.
A full mold assessment was ordered and their initial findings required professional testing afterward. The results were not pleasant. Schools would be kept closed until a complete mold remediation was done for the school. This included cleaning all desk surfaces that the children come in contact with.
The Granville County school system & the parents of these children are not very happy about this. However, you can bet that there are a lot of happy kids in the Creedmoor Elementary and Butner-Stem Elementary Schools.
